Ordered thermister after watching YouTube video. Part arrived in just 2 days. Repair went just as depicted on video. Easy fix. Hoping it corrects the problem.

No heat

Had a power failure when dryer was being used. Dryer was still running but not heating. Used a multimeter to discover that there was no continuity in this part. Ordered the part and received it within 48hrs. Took less than 2 min to replace the part. Praise the Lord, it now works like a charm!

My Cabrio dryer was not getting hot to dry clothes

No heat with clothes dryer

I watched a couple of YouTube videos on what to do when your dryer won't heat, I then went online to AppliancePartsPros.com, Ordered the parts, installed them, it worked and now I am a hero in my Wife's eyes. Feels great. The service and support I received from AppliancePartsPros.com was absolutely outstanding! Best online experience ever. I can't wait for another appliance to fail and I get to be a hero again (not really). Thanks.

Cycle finished before drying or dryer got too hot!

Replaced the thermistor. Actual time taken was more related to getting bolts back in than anything else. Actual repair was easy with right tools and the how-to videos are outstanding. I am not the handiest person but, with the help of Appliancepartspros.com, I have now fixed both my washer and dryer myself at a much lower cost than calling back the authorized repair guy (who couldn’t fix it for me last time!). I paid less for parts than the cost of a service call. Love this site.

The Thermistor is an OEM part for Whirlpool brand dryers. It is a temperature-sensing resistor that monitors air temperature changes during the drying cycle. The thermistor provides feedback to the control board on heating element performance and internal air condition.

Symptoms of a failed thermistor include:

  • Inaccurate temperature readings and selections
  • Improper or incomplete drying
  • Safety issues from overheating due to lack of feedback
  • Error codes displayed on the control panel

Causes can be related to normal wear and environmental exposure over time. Failure prevents the dryer from achieving optimal drying conditions.

This genuine Whirlpool thermistor replacement restores precise air temperature monitoring. It ensures the control board receives accurate input to effectively regulate heating levels. This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

18% of the time Door Latch Kit

Clothes dryer door latch failed.

I ordered the Latch Kit. It arrived within 2 days. I replaced the Latch and Striker within 5 minutes.

Broken clasp on the closure of the dryer pedestal.

On a Friday, I ordered the replacement part, which was easy to find on the appliance Parts Pros website. It came the very next day!

Dryer latch (female end) was missing.

I watched the video on the appliancepartspros.com that showed how to fix the latch. I then went and snapped in the clip (that came in the kit) into the dryer door. Ran the dryer the door stayed shut. Dryer fixed!!!

Door would open while dryer was on.

I looked up the problem on YouTube and saw that it was a simple fix. I went to Google Search for the part and appliancepartpros.com come up, I clicked. Their site is so convenient. All I did was input the model number and then the part name. They even have how to videos on the repairs. Bought the part and I got the part within a couple days. Took me 20 minutes to repair.

Little clips that hold the front onthe washer and dryer pedestal were missing

Used Appliance Parts Pros on line chat. Service rep found the parts for me ($4) and took my order. Problem solved.

14% of the time Thermal Cut-Off Kit

Clothes dryer wasn t heating

Preface: I have never done anything like this before. My ten year old Whirlpool dryer (electric) ran perfectly except that it suddenly stopped heating. I went on youtube and your website, watched a few videos and thought to myself "I can probably do this." I ordered a thermal fuse via your instant chat feature which proved to be a mistake. As soon as it arrived I knew it didn't look like the part I needed so I called AppliancePartsPros.com and learned that the part I needed was actually called a thermal cut-off. It arrived in a couple of days and was installed in about ten minutes. I am happy to report that with your help the dryer in running like new. Thank you.

Dryer quit drying

As on previous occasions, got online with Appliance Parts Pro and easily & quickly learned how to determine the problem, find the parts needed, how to remove the failed part and how to install its replacement. Hard to believe how convenient and efficient this company is.

No heat

I bought those parts tuesday they were here thursday morning had my dryer working great by noon thursday.

Whirlpool dryer wouldn't heat

I found your website with complete detailed instructions for troubleshooting the dryer. After I identified the problem, I was able to watch the video showing the repair and then order the part. Easy as pie, and I knew nothing about dryers. Your website saved me a bundle on technician labor fees.

Dryer was working but there was no heat

I was new to these repairs and not very skilled with the multi-meter. The thermal cut off switch was bad.

No heat

Simple diagnosis, checked for open heating coil, was ok, then checked and found open thermostat. Easy to replace.

This thermal cut-off kit is an authentic OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. It is designed to prevent the dryer from overheating.

Made of metal. Both components are mounted on the heater housing. They measure approximately 2 inches long and 1.5 inches wide each. If the thermal cut-off fuse has gone out, the dryer will not function but replacing it using the components in this kit is simple.

This Kit Includes:

  • High Limit Thermostat (250°F Limit)
  • A Cut Off Fuse (309°F Limit)
  • Female Spade Terminals
  • Jumper Wires

It is important to note that a plugged lint screen, something stuck in the exhaust vent, or a broken blower wheel can cause the thermal cut-off to fail or become damaged.

13% of the time Dryer Drive Motor

Motor was humming and not running

However, it would run if I gave the motor shaft a spin. Suspected either a starting relay or capacitor. Soon leaned that it integral part of the motor. So I had to replace the motor which fixed the issue.

My whirlpool dryer motor died

I looked at your repair video and ordered the replacement part. The motor arrived quickly and I replaced the motor. Unfortunately the fan broke while removing the old one (this I understood sometimes happens) but was easily replaced as well. I was so proud of my work and the wife was so proud of me. By ordering the parts and doing the work myself I saved hundreds of dollars by not having to buy a new dryer. Repair was also so much better for the environment without having to throw away the old dryer! I am not a repairman and don't have much handy experience but the video made the repair a snap!

Bad dryer moter

Disassembled dryer to get down to the motor. Had to chisel blower wheel off motor. Picked up wheel locally and assembled back together again.

Dryer drive motor

First dryer stopped working. When I went to restart there was a humming noise. I unloaded the dryer. Turned on the dryer and it made a humming noise again but it worked. When I put a load in the dryer it made a humming noise and wouldn't start. I ordered a Dryer motor from AppliancePartsPros.com. I paid for next day delivery. I went back to the website and it has a video showing how to install it. It took about twenty minutes to install the new motor and it worked great! I have used AppliancePartsPros.com also to fix my washer in the past. My appliances are over 21yrs old and work great! Thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com. This last repair cost me $128.00 including next day delivery, instead of a $1,000 dollars for a new dryer. Great Service.

Electric dryer making loud noise and would stop running after only a few minutes.

I replaced the dryer motor and blower fan. The blower fan had to be chiseled off the dryer motor shaft. Would suggest anyone replacing the dryer motor on an older dryer to order a blower fan ($20) with the motor just in case it won't screw off the motor shaft. If you don't need the blower fan simply return it for a refund.

Symptoms of a bad Dryer Drive Motor include:

  • The dryer not starting when the start button is pressed
  • Unusual noises, such as humming or buzzing
  • The dryer stopping unexpectedly during cycles
  • A burning smell coming from the dryer

4% of the time Dryer Door Switch

Door switch

Watched video and all went ok ,except the lid was very hard to get un-snapped to lift. the directions should include warning to give a clue to apply force .

Dryer would not shut off when the dryer door was opened

That led me to think that the door switch was bad and an ohm meter showed it was bad. The new switch I received from A.P.P. fixed the problem.

Dryer door switch

I Order the switch from Appliance Parts Pro on Sunday. Received part on Tuesday approx 3pm, by 3:15 pm the switch was installed and dryer was working. Fastest service I have ever had. The replacement part was exactly like the one that came out even the same part number, with instruction how to install. When I need appliance parts I will order from this company.

Dryer door switch

My boyfriend ordered it from your website and it arrived in two days with standard s + h. The video helped immensely.

Broken dryer door switch

Easy fix using the instructions. Remove filter, unscrew 2 screws holding filter frame to the lid, popped open the lid, unplug and unscrew old switch, insert new switch, etc. Quick, cheap and easy.

Whirlpool dryer wouldn't start

After taking the back off to see if there was anything obvious, like burnt wires, I noticed that the light in the drum was on. This was like if the door was open. I checked the door switch and the lever was broken off. I ordered the new switch from AppliancePartsPros.com and installed it and the problem was solved. Thanks for being there for me at an affordable price, guys. I will be a return customer and will recommend your company to anyone in need.

Broken dryer door swich

I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com and received it 2 days later. The new part fit perfectly and worked correctly.

Maytag dryer door switch shorted, light wouldn't go on and dryer kept running when door opened

Very easy fix to replace the switch, thanks to the excellent U tube video from appliance pros. Took about 10 minutes. Screwdriver and a putty knife.

Dryer drum stayed on when door opened and light did not come on

Logged onto AppliancePartsPros site, used their trouble shooting guide and BAM. Got the right part at right price, RIGHT NOW. Great service!

Dryer door switch

Replace the switch. Quick and easy. I was going to call a repair man, but then I looked at a video on the appliance site and said I can do this so I did end of the story.

A bad dryer door switch can be caused by regular wear and tear or door being slammed. It can also become damaged if there is a buildup of lint or debris around the switch.

Symptoms of a bad dryer door switch include:

  • The dryer not starting or running when the door is closed.
  • The dryer continuing to run even when the door is open.
  • The dryer drum not turning or spinning.
  • The interior light not turning on when the door is open.

This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

2% of the time Moisture Sensor

Moisture sensor on dryer door wasn’t working.

Purchased a new sensor and used the video that showed me how. While I had the back off the dryer I completely cleaned all the lint from the inside. The video was very helpful. Reassemble the dryer and did a load of laundry and it worked perfectly. Saved me a large repair bill.

Moisture sensor.

Followed the videos supplied. Super easy. Also, you can't imagine the amount of lint in you dryer. Worth cleaning annually.

The dryer wouldn’t dry very well when using the sensor option.

I used the great video that AppliancPartsPros.com offered and changed out the moisture sensor on our Whirlpool dryer.

Moisture sensor was missing.

Unplugged the power. Removed the lint filter and two screws in lint filter opening (Phillips head screwdriver). Disconnected exhaust vent hose (5/16 nut driver). Removed back cover (1/4” nut driver). Removed metal vent duct underneath cover (1/4 nut driver). Installed the new moisture sensor (no tools), using scotch tape to hold it in place until the retaining pins were in place. Replace parts in reverse order. Don’t tighten screws until all are in place, so they’ll all line up. Tips: The long ends of the sensor (user installed) are on opposite sides. The thick part of the sensor goes toward the top of the dryer. I didn’t need to lift the dryer lid.

This Moisture Sensor is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. Positioned inside the dryer drum, the sensor detects the moisture level of clothes during the drying cycle. By assessing the dampness of the load, it adjusts the drying time to prevent over-drying, which can be harmful to fabrics, or under-drying, which leaves clothes damp.

Common reasons for the degradation or malfunction of the Moisture Sensor include prolonged use, where the sensor's ability to accurately detect moisture can diminish. Lint and fabric softener residue accumulation on the sensor bars might also interfere with its performance.

Symptoms of a malfunctioning Moisture Sensor are:

Clothes remain damp after a complete drying cycle.

  • The dryer consistently over-dries, resulting in hot or shrunken clothes.
  • Drying cycles end prematurely.
  • The sensor error light, if present, might illuminate.

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
