Dryer wouldn't start

After a couple hours of internet searches, I deducted that it had to be one of four parts. However with the parts i needed, if I replaced one , wisdom was to replace all four of them. So I ordered my parts form the dealer except for the Thermal fuse because they were out of stock. I stumbled across AppliancePartsPros.com accidentally. I will say that one the part was very affordable. Secondly, It arrived before the manufacturer's parts I ordered the day before. The repair was very easy and literally took no more than 15 minutes. I would recommend AppliancePartsPros.com to anyone that wants to save themselves the high cost of having a repair person come out. The parts are quality, the shipping is fast, and the website is easy to use.

  • Faulty heating element or drying cycle thermostat

Preface: I have never done anything like this before. My ten year old Whirlpool dryer (electric) ran perfectly except that it suddenly stopped heating. This thermal cut-off kit is an authentic OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. It is designed to prevent the dryer from overheating.

Made of metal. Both components are mounted on the heater housing. They measure approximately 2 inches long and 1.5 inches wide each. If the thermal cut-off fuse has gone out, the dryer will not function but replacing it using the components in this kit is simple.

This Kit Includes:

  • High Limit Thermostat (250°F Limit)
  • A Cut Off Fuse (309°F Limit)
  • Female Spade Terminals
  • Jumper Wires

It is important to note that a plugged lint screen, something stuck in the exhaust vent, or a broken blower wheel can cause the thermal cut-off to fail or become damaged.

Hi-Limit Thermostat

My dryer was blowing cool air and not hot to dry my clothes

I went online and saw a video from AppliancePartsPros.com. The gentlemen showed me exactly what I needed to fix my dryer and exactly how to repair it. His directions were so easy to follow. I ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros website and installed them and my dryer is working better than before. I only spent $91.00 to repair instead of purchasing a new dryer for $699.00. Thank you so much for saving me over $600.00.

Dryer not heating up.

After finding out vent was plugged. Cleaned vent & still no heat, I replaced the hi-limit thermostat because the heating element would come on for a few seconds & shut off not geting up to temp to dry. Seems okay now.

Dryer overheating

Learned it was the Hi-limit thermostat and order one. Absolutely no sweat taking the old one out and putting the new one in. Watch their videos. Nothing to it.

The dryer would not heat.

After watching a video on Youtube, I used a multimeter to test continuity in each of the thermostats. The hi-limit thermostat failed. I ordered the part late one evening with overnight shipping. The part shipped the next day and arrived on time. It took just a few minutes to install the part and start drying clothes again. AppliancePartsPros.com is an EXCELLENT source for parts!

Dyer works but not heating.

Priced the item at local sources, and the prices were all at least double that of Applianceparts.com Ordered the part, it arrived a couple of day before the scheduled date. Tested the part before installation. Now the machine works as it should. Thanks for being available to assist and especially with lower prices.
