Cycle finished before drying or dryer got too hot!

Replaced the thermistor. Actual time taken was more related to getting bolts back in than anything else. Actual repair was easy with right tools and the how-to videos are outstanding. I am not the handiest person but, with the help of Appliancepartspros.com, I have now fixed both my washer and dryer myself at a much lower cost than calling back the authorized repair guy (who couldn’t fix it for me last time!). Dryer Heating Element

Heating element gone bad.

I called the Sears Home Services repair service thinking a reputable company would be trustworthy. The repairman quoted me $380 for the replacement of the heating element. I told him the entire Whirlpool dryer costs $600 and the repair cost was unreasonable and he offered me a 20% discount. I ended up ordering the part from appliancepartspros.com for $88 and replacing it myself by following their online video. Taking pretty much the entire dryer apart did make me a little nervous, but I finished the job in +/- 1 1/2 hours and saved myself $300!

Dryer wasn't producing warm air

Replaced the heating element. Our local appliance repair shop suggested starting with the heating element, my husband took apart our dryer (after watching a video) and tested the element, it was bad. We purchased a new one from Appliance Parts Pros, had it sent overnight, and it was fixed the same day we got the new element.

The heating element

Took off the back of the dryer. Disconnected the "Air Duct Assembly (Part Number AP6008287)" from the Heating Element housing. Turned the Dryer around. Took off the lower front panel and removed the one screw left holding it into place. Unplugged the Heating Element housing and removed it. Once the element housing was out, very easy to replace element without disturbing the drum or anything else in the dryer. Tested all of the components for continuity (Thermal Cutoff, Thermostat, old element, new element). All good except old element. Replaced old element with new element. Put it back together and working like a charm!! (FYI original problem... Clogged dryer duct to outside of the house backed up lint into dryer and burned up element.)

Dryer not heating heating element burnt out

Disassembled dryer according to instructions hidden under the control panel. Used ohm meter to test for continuity in Thermal Fuse, Thermistor and Heating Element. Only the Heating Element did not have continuity. Ordered new element from AppliansPartsPros.com on Sunday night, $90 plus tax and shipping = $99. Part arrived around 9am on Tuesday morning via FedEx. Never received a mail order part so fast before. Installed element and reassembled dryer. It was working again that night.

Dryer would not heat and en l2 error code would be displayed

Turns out the heating element burnt out. Lint seems to have gone past the lint catcher and some of it lit up as I found some charred lint. The amount of heat broke the element.

Thermal Fuse (disposable, One Time Fuse)

Dryer stopped working.

Found a U-tube video to diagnose the problem. So I had an excuse to buy an inexpensive Multimeter to check electrical continuity. Thermal fuse was dead. Ordered a thermal fuse from you guys. It arrived in 2 days! Worked out great.

The dryer panel had power but after you select your settings, you would hear a single click when pressing the start button but it would not start

Removed the bottom panel and cleaned out all the lint build up then found the thermal fuse. I pulled the terminal leads from the fuse and taped the leads together for TESTING PURPOSES ONLY and found the dryer did now start as normal. Removed the fuse and checked resistance with an ohm meter and verified fuse was blown. While it was apart I went ahead and removed the lint trap and cleaned that all out. Once I received the new fuse put it all back together and works good as new.

Dryer wouldn't start

Contacted AppliancePartsPro by chat - on a Sunday. Seems as though every-time you have a problem with an appliance, it will happen on the weekend and trying to get a part or a local repairman is impossible. Kenmore elite he3 dryer wouldn't start

Using the descriptions on the website we were able to narrow down the problem to the thermal fuse. Ordered the part and had it repaired in 2 days.

Dryer kept shutting off

Youtube dryer and showed exactaly how to clean and trouble shoot problem. Took out fuse and tried on line ordering but had trouble so used 800 number. Got here quick and replaced fuse and it works! U tube did give me this site. Thx.

Dryer was shutting off before clothes were totally dry

Looked at repair manual that was inside the bottom of dryer (intended for technician). Followed a few simple test instructions for that problem and it said the moisture sensor bar was not working. $7 part. It has two bars so we replaced both. Parts came in a couple days. Simple installation. Dryer working like new for about $25 w/shipping.

Whirlpool duet dryer moisture sensor

I watched the video which was explicit and straight forward about how to do the repair. Just be careful when you unhook the two wires as they want to fall down into the space which has very little access. I was able to remove the inner filter cover and use a piece of wire to retrieve the wires and plugs so not too bad after all. If I had to do it over I would not remove both plugs just the black wire, remove the sensor and replace it,re-attach the black wire and finish mounting the filter frame.
