Here are the most common causes for Whirlpool Washer WTW5000DW1 "Noisy"

30% of the time Drive Belt

Burning rubber smell during spin / slow or no spin with heavier load

Replaced drive belt - cleaned old spindles and used large grit sandpaper to slightly mar the transmission spindle to provide better traction. Used bicycle tire pry tool to pull off old and put new on.

Motors would run but tub would not spin

I could here the motor running but visually could confirm that the tub was not spinning or moving at all. I removed the back panel of the washer to investigate and found that the drive belt was stretched and worn to the point that it had fallen of the pulleys.I went online to AppliancePartsPros.com and found the item that I needed (new drive belt) and a video showing me the best way to replace it (which I wish I had seen first, it would have saved me time). I will always use this sight first when I have an appliance repair job.

Squeaking noises during the wash cycle.

Your video was a huge help in showing how to quickly change the drive belt. The belt I ordered arrived in no time. I was very impressed with your company. Unfortunately, the noise persisted. So we fixed the problem by buying a new washer.

Grunting noise especially on "rinse"

Replace the belt. The tutorial is ultimate in making all of my washer and dryer repairs! Thank you sooooo much! I look like a professional!

Tub wouldn’t move

Googled the problem. Watched your YouTube video. Said I can do that and I did. Wouldn’t be such a big deal but I’m a 61 year old grandma. If I can do it, so can you.

25% of the time Drive Clutch Kit

Splutch cam was stripped

I watched the video on HOW TO REPLACE SPLUTCH.CAM KIT. Then I ordered the Kit, it was delivered the very next day. Replacing the kit took me 20 minutes. EASY AS PIE !!!

My maytag centennial washer was making a ratcheting noise right after initial water fill up and going into wash/agitate mode

After putting in my washer model number a number of previous customer Q&A also came up with the available parts. After perusing the Q&A, I was able to diagnose my problem (needed a new split assembly). I watched the DIY video that was connected with the part pop-up and was able to perform the repair myself in less than an hour. Thanks APP!

Whirlpool Cabrio gear case.

Took it apart which took awhile the inner tub had to be removed which was a job in itself. once that was done I tipped it on its side and removed the gear case. also replaced the splutch cam while I was at it. To take it apart took me about 3hrs everything was rusted together to put it back together took me about an hour. works great.

Grinding type noise when agitating and during spin cycle

Replaced splutch cam kit in 15 minutes and no more sound. Received the part in less than 24 hours with the least expensive shipping choice.

Loud noise from gears during rinse cycle

Replaced Splutch Cam Kit .The gears did not looked stripped but the spring was weak not keeping them engaged. I think over time they would have worn more. The video was very helpful for part location and knowing what to remove for easy replacement.
