47% of the time Dryer Repair Kit (27 Inch Wide Dryers, Thin Twins)

Dryer making a squeaking noise

Appliances Parts Pros checked for my problem and sold me on the parts to replace, ordered parts, installed, dryer works like a charm. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros Another satisfied customer Pete B.

Faulty idler pulley.

Used this kit to replace the pulley and the other parts since I had it apart. Great video instructions made it easy!

Dryer very noisy, a bushing came loose from one of the rear support rollers

I bought a rebuild kit to replace all 4 support rollers, the idler pulley and the belt. All parts were direct replacements for the originals except the belt. The belt was smaller than the original. I tried for quite a while to get it on but had to put the original back on. It was still in good shape anyway. Dryer runs quiet and smooth. By doing it myself I probably saved myself 150.00 dollars easily.

Dryer was making a grating noise

Ordered the parts from appliance parts pros and they were delivered promptly. I am a total novice but was able to disassemble dryer and determine and correct source of problem!

Dryer squealed loudly after a short time running.

Ultimately found the tensioner wheel was not turning freely. Originally assumed it was a worn belt but decided to order the belt and wheel kit. Searched YouTube for how to videos to get an idea on how difficult the repair would be. Found a video that was very similar to my unit. It took about 90 minutes to disassemble, replace parts and re assemble. Because the kit comes with new retainer clips, it is faster and easier to just cut the old clips off with some side cutters. Also have the vacuum ready as the unit will be full of lint that should be removed while you have the unit opened up.

Dryer rollers squeaking

I purchased a dryer repair kit that had the rollers, roller keepers and drum belt. I followed some YouTube instruction videos on how to make the repair and everything worked just fine. No more squeak. The best part was my one day delivery service of my parts kit. No issues and I received my parts just fine.

The Dryer Repair Kit is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers, designed to address common wear and repair issues. This kit ensures that the drum rotates freely and quietly.

Symptoms of a dryer in need of this repair kit include:

  • Unusual noises, such as squeaking or thumping

Regular maintenance and timely replacement of these parts can prevent more serious problems and extend the life of the dryer.

22% of the time Drum Support Roller

The drum rollers needed to be changed

Your video on how to replace the drum roller was very helpful. Getting a part and a video on how to replace the part was an excellent service. I had no idea how to take the dryer apart. I’m very pleased

Drum support roller malfunctioned

Very simple repair. Remove the back of the dryer, removed old support roller and replaced it with a new roller provided by appliancepartspros.com. Took about 30 minutes and now the dryer works perfectly. Thank you appliancepartspros.com!

Dryer drum making a swishing noise.

Our Whirlpool dryer drum started making a swishing noise which I could reproduce by manually rotating the drum. I found an exploded parts diagram and determined that this was either the roller(s) or the belt and via a video I was able to figure out how to open the front of my dryer to diagnose this problem. Sure enough I found a bunch of small rubber shavings on the floor of the dryer and I ordered two drum support rollers. The rollers showed up on time and replacement was quick and easy! After I pulled the old rollers I was able to determine that the left roller had a more pointed edge profile than the new roller and there was a crack in the rubber around the central ring that connects the rubber on the roller to the roller (the middle). Right parts, right diagnosis, quiet dryer again. Always a good experience with AppliancePartsPros.com!

My Whirlpool duet dryer was clunking!

1. Searched the internet for causes. 2. Found AppliancePartsPros website and watched the video on how to fix the problem by replacing the 4 drum support roller. 3. Ordered the parts, which came the next day! 4. Played your video, pausing at each step, to follow the very clear directions. 5. My dryer works like new now - no more clunking. Not bad for a 65-year old lady!

Noisy

Watched your dryer video and found out through the video what was causing the noise problem, then ordered the parts from your company. Parts arrived next day. THANKS for making my life easier. You guys are great and have a great system. DON

This OEM Replacement Part is a drum support roller for dryers manufactured by Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Inglis, Maytag, and Crosley. This genuine Whirlpool part is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold individually. The drum support roller is responsible for securing the drum as it rotates and most dryers need two of them. It is essential to check and replace both drum support rollers to ensure proper drum rotation.

A faulty drum support roller can lead to loud squealing, squeaking, or thumping noises during dryer operation. It is recommended that this medium-difficulty repair be performed with caution. The power, gas, and vent lines should be disconnected before beginning. You may need pliers, a screwdriver, a nut driver, and a wrench to complete the replacement.

Note: This part includes the drum roller only. The tri-rings must be purchased separately.

6% of the time Drum Support Shaft for Left Hand Threads

Excessive noise and squeaking from rear drum support roller.

Repair required removing the front and rear of the dryer. After removing the roller and seeing how bad it was, I checked the shaft. It was scored badly. I subsequently ordered the shaft. I replaced both rear support rollers because if one failed, the other was probably not far behind. Cleaned the front rollers while I had it apart. Vacuumed up all the metal shavings from the failed roller. Overall, pretty labor intensive. I think the shaft was way overpriced, but other sites had it selling for similar amounts.

Originally received the wrong (longer) drum support shaft.

I called back on a Saturday to explain to the agent just what happened. I was sent the correct Shaft (no shipping charge), which arrived in two days! I am to be credited for the incorrect shaft. With a new Drum Support Shaft and Roller installed my Whirlpool Duet Sport dryer is once again running quietly.

Our Kenmore dryer had a horrible high pitch noise coming from it.

Contacted AppliancePartsPros.com. Found out that the parts I ordered 9 months ago were on warranty and they replaced them for me. Installed the repair parts and once again the dryer is fixed. No high-pitched noise at all! Very satisfied with the service from this company. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

The Whirlpool drum roller axle is an OEM replacement part responsible for supporting and facilitating the rotation of the drum in the dryer. It is designed with left-hand threads, which means it turns counterclockwise to secure the rear drum roller in place. The drum roller axle serves as the pivot point for the rear drum roller, allowing the drum to rotate smoothly during the drying cycle. It plays a pivotal role in maintaining the stability and balance of the drum, ensuring that it spins evenly and without wobbling.

The Whirlpool drum support shaft can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

This part fixes the following symptoms

  • Unusual noises during the drying cycle, such as squeaking, squealing, or thumping sounds
  • Excessive wear or damage to the rear drum roller
  • Clothes taking longer to dry than usual
  • The dryer vibrating excessively or shaking during operation

3% of the time Idler Pulley Wheel & Arm Assembly

Worn bearing.

Super simple 5 minute fix.after 2 weeks of squeals a simple 5 minute order and 5 minute fix brought back peace.

My maytag bravos xl was making a squealing noise

I did the standard Google search and found this to be a common problem, and one of the solutions involved massively disassembling the dryer to replace several parts. The videos on this site made it apparent that it would be easy to get at the idler pulley after the rear panel was removed, so I took the panel off, and sure enough, the pulley was not moving freely. Ordered the part from this site, it arrived quickly, and installed very easily after viewing the relevant video. Thanks, this was an easy repair once I knew what I needed to do!

Idler pulley had locked up on my dryer

I ORDER THE PART FROM APPLIANCEPARTSPROS.COM AND IT ARRIVED IN 3 DAYS. I WAS HAPPY ABOUT THAT, SO I REPLACED THE OLD PART THAT VERY DAY. THANKS.

Loud squealing emanating from back of machine

Found idler pulley to be bad. Found appliance parts pros online. The part showed up in one day!! That in and of itself is praise worthy. Replaced the idler arm with relative ease. The video teachings are awesome!! Thank you for your speedy service, none of us want to be with out any of our appliances.

Whirlpool dryer idler pulley was squeaking very loudly.

I tried just greasing the pulley assembly, which helped in the very short term, but the squeaking returned after a couple loads. It wasn't just annoying squeaking—it was incredibly loud and I was surprised that a small idler pulley could make that much noise. The new part fit right in and fixed the issue.

The Idler Arm Spring is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers, maintains tension in the dryer's belt system. This spring is crucial for the proper operation of the dryer, as it helps to keep the belt tight around the drum and motor pulley, enabling the drum to rotate smoothly during cycles.

Causes of a bad Idler Arm Spring can include stretching or weakening over time due to constant tension, or breakage from wear and tear.

Symptoms of a bad Idler Arm Spring include:

  • Unusual noises, such as squeaking or squealing
  • The dryer drum may not rotate smoothly or may stop turning altogether
  • Clothes take longer to dry, or you may notice uneven drying
  • The dryer might not start if the belt is disengaged due to insufficient tension.

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Drum Drive Belt

Dryer was making noise!

I got a repair kit from appliancepartspros.com. Everything went fine until the belt , which didn't fit. Kelly from customer service came through and sent a replacement belt . My husband and son have not put on as yet.

Seized tensioner pulley

My repair went EZ. Matt's videos were spot on. I've seen enough of his videos to think of him as family. I had an issue with the repair parts that I ordered. I ordered the combination repair pack with drum rollers, belt, etc. There is a disclaimer about the belt possibly not fitting all of the included models that the kit is sold for and to use the unit's model # to verify. I did, it was listed as a match, but the belt in the kit was the incorrect size. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING IN HANDLING MY EXCHANGE. Other than the 24 hour shipping time, my dryer was back in service quickly. KUDOS to the young lady who handled my issue.

Dryer belt broke off.

Went to this site, found the part but still real-time chatted with representative who confirmed that was indeed the correct one. Arrived within a week and we quickly put it on the dryer and voila! Works like a charm. Hardest part wasn't putting on the new belt.. it was just getting into the dryer altogether.

My wife reported the dryer was "overheating" diagnosis broken belt

I looked up how to open the top on the internet, then, I took the front off, removed the drum and old belt, hotwired the door switch and tensioner cut-off switch and confirmed the motor would run, then ordered the part.

The Drum Drive Belt is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This part transfers power from the dryer's motor to the drum, enabling it to tumble. Made from durable, flexible materials, the belt wraps around the dryer drum, tension pulley, and drive motor pulley, keeping everything moving smoothly and efficiently.

A bad Drum Drive Belt can result from fraying or wear due to regular use, leading to loss of integrity and eventual breakage, glazing causing slippage and reduced dryer efficiency, and stretching reducing tension and hindering proper drum tumbling.

Symptoms of a bad Drum Drive Belt include:

  • The dryer motor running but the drum not tumbling.
  • Unusual noises, such as squeaking or thumping, indicating the belt may be worn or misaligned.
  • The dryer not starting at all if the belt has broken completely.

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.
