The Felt Drum Seal is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This part creates a tight seal along the edge of the dryer drum, preventing hot air from escaping and ensuring efficient operation. The felt seal helps to minimize noise and vibration during the drying cycle by cushioning the space between the drum and the dryer body.

Over time, the felt drum seal can wear out, become compacted, or tear, leading to potential issues such as increased drying times, higher energy consumption, and excess noise.

Symptoms of a bad Felt Drum Seal include:

  • Clothes taking longer to dry
  • Unusual noises or increased vibration during operation
  • A visible gap between the drum and the dryer body
  • Excessive lint buildup inside the dryer beyond the lint trap

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

29% of the time Bearing Ring for Front Support

Bearing ring broke in half.

Replaced the Bearing Ring. It was easier than I thought. Thanks to YouTube the repair video took less than 2 minutes. Now the noise is gone.

Electric clothes dryer front bearing ring

Your video was very helpful. It only took a few minutes to install the bearing. Although, my dryer is a Kenmore, it is essentially the same as a Whirlpool.

My dryer was making unholy noises screeching and growling at start up thumbing and bumping during the dry cycle.

I went to my old standby at AppliancePartsPros.com for answers. Immediately finding the screeching noise was the idler. I ordered a new belt and idler and drum wheels. The order was placed and the parts arrived magically the next day... NO KIDDING the next day. I digress, upon the parts arrival I discovered I had neglected the purchase of the front Bearing Ring for Front Support and called my buddies at APP. They took my order for the bearing ring and again like magic, the part arrived at my door. I followed the video instructions and within 45 minutes, my dryer was up and running as if it had undergone an exorcism. No more howling, thumping, bumping, and unholy screeching. Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com You just saved me about $300.00 buck.

The Bearing Ring for Front Support is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It provides support and stability to the dryer's front drum. The bearing ring helps to reduce friction and ensure smooth rotation of the drum during the drying cycle. It helps to maintain proper alignment and balance, preventing excessive noise and vibration during operation.

A bad bearing ring can occur due to wear and tear over time, high usage, or damage from foreign objects getting caught in the drum. If the bearing ring becomes worn, cracked, or damaged, it can lead to loud squeaking or grinding noises coming from the dryer.

Symptoms of a bad bearing ring for front support include:

  • Loud squeaking or grinding noises during operation.
  • Excessive vibration or shaking of the dryer.
  • Difficulty in rotating the drum manually.
  • Visible damage or wear on the bearing ring.

If you're experiencing any of these issues, it's time to replace the bearing ring for front support with this genuine Whirlpool part. Restore the smooth and quiet operation of your dryer's drum with a new bearing ring. This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.
