59% of the time Replacement Icemaker

The ice maker stopped working and was in need of replacement

I needed to find the part which was not easy, but with the help of customer support I was able to quickly identify the right part.

Ice maker stopped working

Replaced ice maker. Ordered ice maker kit from AppliancePartsPros and it arrived the next day. Awesome experience.

The ice maker had developed a small leak in the ice tray.

Close inspection of the ice maker showed that the coating on the exterior of the ice tray was cracking allowing water to seep out and run into the ice collection bin. I decided to replace the ice maker since this problem was not repairable. I received the ice maker in about 30 hours from the time I placed the order. Installing the new ice maker took about 10 minutes. After a week of use, the ice maker is working perfectly with no leaks.

Ice maker was dripping following fill

First I replaced the secondary fill valve as directed. That did not change things. Next was told to change primary valve which I ordered but did not install. Instead I read about someone changing ice maker due to dripping following fill. I ordered the ice maker and changed it. Found that the lining of the ice maker was deteriorated and needed replaced.

The icemaker was leaking

I referenced the part number and was able to order from you. The video allowed me to easily swap the parts in about 20 minutes, despite never having done this before. It is making beautiful cubes now! This is my first experience with AppliancePartsPros.com but, I will attempt other repairs with them in the future.

Ice maker would lockup then sometime start working again

Ordered an new ice maker from another source, but one received the fill tube was in wrong spot.. Reordered from AppliancePartsPro and it was exactly the right one. The video on the website made it easy to remove and replace. Started having ice made within 3 hours

Icebox unit repair

Researched on line, contacted Appliance Parts Pros, advised of my issues, ordered the part and replaced in 15 minutes. The experience of speaking to the customer representative and receiving the unit in two days was great! No issues, no delays, no problems. Highly recommended.

Icemaker out

Ordered part and it arrived via FedEx very quickly, maybe 2 days. Installed part and was anxiously awaiting ice. Lo and behold, it made ice within 30 minutes. Yippee! Had used ice trays for a couple of years. Cost good, not overpriced.

Bad ice maker in freezer and bad door seal on refrigerator

I went to Appliance Pros Web site with the make and model number of my refrigerator and easily found the needed parts along with a video on the proper method of installation. I ordered the parts required and received them FedX with two days. The computer research and actual order took approx 15 minutes and the parts arrived quickly. I have used Appliance Pros over the years several times and have never been disappointed. This is a well organized, professional company and has eliminated the hassle of trying to order parts for your appliance in stores that are not equipped with the knowledge or parts needed to complete your job. This has truly been one stop shopping with everything you need to complete the job.

Ice maker was not working

First we tried the control module after making sure it wasn't the water supply. The control module kept rotating the ice removers without stopping and allowing water to fill tray. After speaking to one of the reps we determined that we needed to replace the whole ice maker. Chris sent me the shipping label to ship back the control module and then we ordered the ice maker. We then ordered the ice maker kit. It came the Next Day! I replaced the whole unit in about 3 minutes and we now have an ice maker again!

My ice maker broke

I replaced the ice maker. the part I ordered from Appliance parts.com came within days of my order. It worked fine and the repair took less than an hour.

18% of the time Refrigerator Drain Tube

Water leaking from refrigerator ice on bottom of freezer maytag french door refrigerator

I researched online and discovered a lot of folks had the same issue as I did. The cause was sludge build up in the rubber outlet on the tube drain. And the fix was a replacement kit. The repair seemed easy and the part was inexpensive, so I figured "why not?" I will attempt it and if its too complicated, ill hire an appliance repairman to do it. It was really easy, took me about 15 minutes to replace. I unplugged the fridge for a day to let any ice build up melt. So far no ice build up and no leaked from the fridge. As far as buying the part, it was really effortless from this seller, plugged my fridge model number and it told me if its the correct part or not, I received my part the next day. The earned a return customer

Water leaking from front of the freezer

Replaced the old rubber drain with the P-Trap drain tube. Replacing the drain tube is fairly easy. Getting rid of the ice is time consuming. Warm water seems to get the best and fastest results. Make sure the drain is completely free of ice before installing the new drain.

Leaking water on floor out freezer door due to plugged drain hose

Ordered new design drain pipe with p trap. was easy to install . No water on floor so far since repair. I do think Whirlpool should foot the bill for this part. I paid a lot of money for this appliance and it started leaking a few days after warranty expired.

Ice in floor of freezer

After watching YouTube on diagnosing/fixing problem, I ordered the tube-drain. The part showed up in 3 days. I read instructions with part and re-watched video. After a small amount of blood letting from sheet metal and severely cussing college educated engineers that designed the freezer drawer and rails, the repair was complete. I found the rubber grommet to be clogged with a gummy residue just like in video. No more ice. I suspect I saved myself $300 on service call. Melting ice on and under drip tray took the longest amount of time for repair.

Clogged condenser drain resulting in water collecting & freezing in the bottom of the freezer

Removed the old drain & rubber duckbill and replaced it with the new, improved tube-drain. It took longer to remove and replace the back panel to get to the drain than it did to replace the part.

The drain tube guides liquid to the evaporation pan located below the refrigerator to be evaporated.

Symptoms of a bad drain tube include:

  • Water collecting in the back of the refrigerator
  • Musty odors emanating from the refrigerator
  • Water leakage from the bottom of the refrigerator

Causes of a bad drain tube can be blockages from food particles or debris, cracks or leaks that prevent proper drainage, or damage due to impact or kinking of the tube over time.

This OEM replacement part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

7% of the time Water Inlet Valve

I didn't raise the ice cube detection arm to the no water position when i went on vacation

I replaced the solenoid. The part was an exact fit and took longer to get the tools than to replace the part. It works great!

Ice maker over flowing

New solenoid for water control to ice maker. I had a good idea that was the problem but the trouble shooting guide confirmed the problem Thanks for the great help.

No ice in icemaker

I replaced the water inlet valve. I found the video on your site to be essential since my old refrigerator had threaded connectors and the new valve had a (new to me) push-in connector.

Ice make stopped making ice

The ice maker would make ice if I manually filled it; the ejector teeth would turn the ice cubes into the bin, but then the ice maker wouldn't refill with water to start the cycle over again. I ordered a replacement water inlet valve from appliancepartspros.com and followed the straightforward steps in the video to replace the inlet valve in about 15 minutes. As soon as I plugged the refrigerator back in and set the sensor arm on the ice maker down, the tray filled. The ice maker has been working ever since. The cost for a service visit to do this repair was quoted to me at $129, not including parts and labor. The valve cost around $55 plus shipping.

Bad intake valve for ice machine broken. Missing pantry door.

Ordered new parts and pamtry door. Came quickly and easy to replace. Ice maching stopped working. I trouble shooted it down to the intake valve. Again, came quick and easy to replace.

This OEM Replacement Part is a single coil water inlet valve intended for use in refrigerators. The valve serves as a solenoid-operated switch that controls the release of water from the supply line into the ice maker mold when activated. This part is crucial to the proper functioning of the refrigerator's ice-making and water dispensing systems.

If your ice maker is producing small or hollow cubes, failing to dispense ice or water, or if your refrigerator is leaking, this could indicate a restriction in the water inlet valve necessitating its replacement. The valve comes with instructions for installation, and the necessary tools for this repair include a 1/4-inch nut driver and a utility knife. Always remember to unplug your refrigerator from the power source as a safety measure before commencing the repair. Please refer to the manufacturer's diagram for further instructions

5% of the time Ice Mold

The ice mold in my ice maker was leaking into the ice

I bought a new mold and watched the video at your site. It took my son and I about 30 minutes and we are good to go. The only bummer was I found the whole ice maker on your site for the same price after the fix.

Water was overflowing. The ice mold freezing into an ice tower.

Following the simple video instructions, I replaced the ice mold. The replacement was simple and solved the problem.

Ice maker

After removing the unit, I took it apart to see what was the problem, I ordered the part, an Ice mold from APP which was in stock and had it shipped. The part arrived two days later, put it all back together and wife is happy again. This ice maker on the Kenmore has been a problem for a long time. We don’t want to buy new one as one to fit the space is hard to find. So with your help I'll do my best to keep it going. I like doing repair work like this, sometimes it is a good feeling when you were right and fixed something without calling a repairman.

Ice maker quit producing ice it would freeze up and drip water into the ice collector and freeze up the dispenser.

I found the ice maker on your site and after watching the video you had, I installed the part and it works perfectly. Just wish they supplied the sealant for the thermal sensor.

Ice mold in our rv freezer was leaving flakes in the ice and leaking water

I ordered a new ice mold. Removing the icemaker from the freezer was straightforward. I followed the instructions in the video and it was easy to disassemble the unit, except for one screw that would not break free. I ended up drilling it out and replacing the screw. Reassembly was as easy as disassembly, and reinstallation went well.

3% of the time Drip Pan

The drain pan leaked

The plastic drain pan had become brittle and cracked when I moved my refrigerator. The part was no longer available from Kenmore so I checked the AppliancePartsPros and they had the part listed. Ordered it and installed it myself.

Drip pan was cracked and leaking

Ordering the part thru APPros was a breeze. New part arrived within a couple of days. Watched video of drip pan replacement on a similar model frig. Took me about 20 minutes total time to switch out the pans.

Drip pan had crack around area where p trap tube snaps in was leaking water on floor

Replaced drip pan as instructed by AppliancePartsPros.com. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/answers-for-whirlpool-pan-drip-wpw10655367-ap6023628-question-230148.html. Went in like a dream.

Cracked drip pan was leaking water onto floor.

The replacement drip pan I ordered was an EXACT match and made out of sturdier plastic than original. To start repair I unplugged fridge, removed back panel, vacuumed out as much of the dust/dirt that I could reach then tried to pull out old pan. The fan was mounted in a removable plastic mounting that is pressure fit in place. Moving the fan and putting it back in place was most difficult component as it needed to bend more than I thought it could stand to fit back in place. The original drip pan was broken and came out in a few pieces, one part was doubled sided taped to bottom of fridge. I am very happy with the part being a perfect match for my refrigerator and will now have a dry floor!

Defrost pan was cracked and leaking on to floor.

To get fan out first, I cut up pan with a pair of dikes, side cutters. New pan drops right in. Fan took some fussing, but magically got situated. Be sure to also replace drain tube if it's not the goose neck style. Old style was a sloped ramp that just leaked out cold air!
