The Frigidaire Evaporator Motor Fan Blade is an OEM replacement part for various Frigidaire brand refrigerators.  An evaporator fan blade in a refrigerator is responsible for circulating the air within the fridge. It helps to ensure that the temperature remains consistent throughout the appliance. The fan blade also helps to keep the evaporator coils from freezing up, which can lead to reduced cooling efficiency.

Causes of a bad fan blade:

  • Wear and tear due to age and use.
  • Damage from debris buildup

Symptoms of a bad part:

  • Loud or unusual noises, such as buzzing, squeaking or humming
  • Inconsistent temperatures within the fridge

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

27% of the time Assy, Evaporator Fan Motor

Evaporator fan was failing on my refrigerator.

The old motor shaft was loose and wobbly. I was able to cobble/repair the motor until the replacement part arrived. The new part from your company fits right into place and is working just fine. Thanks for your services.

The freezer was cold but fridge was warm. Sometimes it fixed itself and started working again.

The evaporator fan was failing (noisy, and sometimes not starting when it should). I removed the back panel of the freezer compartment by unscrewing all of the hex screws. Had to use some pliers to extract the unused ice-maker connector from the retaining slot. I used pliers to gently remove two cable holders on the front of the fan box. Then removed the two bolts retaining the fan assembly. Two ground connections, 1 power, 1 neutral removed to get it out of there. The replacement fan has power and neutral connections in different locations, so the existing power connections were too short to connect. There were a few extensions in the box with the fan, so I trimmed the protective sleeve on one of them so it was the proper length, and I extended the power cable to reach the other side as I connected the others to the fan assembly. I reinserted the cable holders on the front bottom edge of the motor box and then mounted the assembly with the two hex screws. I wasn't sure if the power/neutral connections were correct, so I plugged things in to make sure the fan was spinning in the correct direction. (not sure if it matters, actually). But the fan was blowing upward as required. I reinserted the ice-maker plug into the retainer hole and remounted the back panel.

This Evaporator Fan Motor is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. Located in the freezer compartment, the fan motor helps circulate the cold air throughout the refrigerator and freezer sections.

Typical causes for the malfunction of the Evaporator Fan Motor include prolonged use which can wear out the motor over time. Dust and debris accumulation might hinder its operation or reduce its efficiency. Sometimes, frost build-up due to a faulty defrost system can obstruct the fan, leading to its eventual failure.

Symptoms of a problematic Evaporator Fan Motor include:

  • Inadequate cooling in the refrigerator or freezer sections.
  • Unusual noises, such as humming or grinding, emanate from the freezer area.
  • Frost build-up in the freezer compartment.
  • The fan not turning on or operating at a reduced speed.

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
